I've had my goos for a few months now and they seem to have settled in well and be quite happy and healthy which is good I've just been getting worried recently because they have never slept in their house! It never bothered me much before, but now it's starting to get quite cold here and I don't want them too freeze! As far as I'm aware they used their house in P@H, and I have the same model so...can anyone think of anything I can do to coax them into using it, or at least keep them warm!? Thanks

P@H have little warming pads . . . can't remember the name . . . but they work very nicely and most degus seem to totally love them. Also, putting in loo roll for them to make a nest with is very helpful. Another home made thing is to stuff an old sock with plain rice, knot the end securely, and then warm it in a microwave. You need to check it to make sure it isn't too hot, and squish it about a little to make sure the heat is evenly distributed throughout, and then pop it into the cage. It should hold the heat for a while. Maybe even put it into the little house? You may wish to make several of these.

Snugglesafe
lol! They are brilliant! Can highly recommend them!
My goos get more excited about the snugglesafe going in than treats at the moment

Is there anywhere I can get the snugglesafe directly from rather than ordering through eBay? If I ordered through there it'd arrive after Christmas knowing my luck and I'd rather just walk in and buy them :-)
Edit: Actually, P@H has them for £20 each...didn't want to line their pockets but I guess I am going to have to buy at least one for Dante from them :-)

I think I'm going to have to take a trip down P@H tomorrow for a snugglesafe then and try the heated rice sock tonight - that's a really good idea, I'd have never thought of it so thanks everyone!
