I just read in a norwegian forum about 3 degu babies who had been abandoned (her 4 grownups had escaped, don't know how she did it). The babies is 10 days old and she was wondering what to give them. Anyone here know, and can the babies survive?

at 10 days its possible, they'd need feeding right thoughout the day and night though every two to three hours. She'd need a pipette and I think a Kitten formula would do the trick, not the best thing but better than nothing. However, she'd need to be very careful not to drown the pups by pushing too much through at once or getting it in their nose. After feeding their bladders need to be stimulated by firm but gentle strokes going in the direction of head to tail using a finger or cotton bud. She'd need to keep them warm possibly wrapping up a hot water bottle in a towel and placing it next to the babies. Thats all my knowlegde on the matter I'm afraid. www.btinternet.com/~p.long/degutopia/deguhandr.htm theres more information.
