I came today in the evening home and as usualy came straight to the cage to say hello to our boys and then i got a shock our chuck and larry are not boys but a couple which today got two little and lovely babies they are lovely as soon as i noticed them i put more food for new parents and read a book how to look after them now am really shocked because as o got them for my birthday we thought they are both male and now we have 4 degus will put photos as soon as new parents will calm down

oh wow, how sweet. just a bit of advice really. mom will be at her most firtile again noe so dad needs to be removed for a short time. unless you want more babies in three months time. he he.
my babies were allergic to wood shavings and all their hair fell out when they were a week old. we put them on carefresh.
