My babies are still putting 1 to 2 gm on per day. i have noticed today though that they are climbing all over my new designed cage even to the top .. but tonight i have seen 3 of them nibbling on the food and also some natural treats i have put in the cage.
They were only born last Tuesday morning so are only just over a week. When do they normally start eating proper food!!! Im just a bit worried it may affect their digestion systems if they start eating too early !!

Sounds like ours. They were eating in about 5-7 days. Depending on how many babies you have, I'd put lots more food in. Our 13 babies and 2 mums constantly drain our bank accounts with they food consumption.

Babies start nibbling on day one, if the adults allow them to explore...and start one ful time feeding soon after. They nurse for about 4 weeks, to aid their immune system and boost their weight.
I've had our babies trying to chew my fingernails...Fastest manicure I've ever seen.

Can I just say that Bubble, mum to 8 babies freaks out when they leave the nest. She herds them all frantically time and time again and they only get to play and be held when she has roaming time outside the cage and them we cuddle them. When she comes back she starts all over again. They are not "allowed" to eat normal food!! Is this normal!! I do remember when I was a mother for the first time I wouldn't allow anyone anywhere near my babies!!

LOL! Poor Bubble! It sounds like she must be driving herself mental. I hope she will soon be able to relax more about the babies and play time.

LOL! That's what ours did. Except they moved the babies away from the door of the cage so they could get to us for attention without being bothered by bubbies.
