well 6 babies are now 8 weeks, there is 3 boys and 3 girls so they may all stay
titch the male who was last born is only size of a mouse, and his fur is near all back on again from over grooming, so he is staying in another cage with 2 other males
so since this last june when i start off with 2 goos, i now have 9 that hopeful should be the end.

I adopted 2 degus from a pet shop and was told they were 2 boys until last week when 1 had 8 babies. I dont know anything about breedin and was wondering if anyone knew a bit about it, my main question is when are the babies allowed to leave their mother?

i normal leave them with mother till there between 7 and 8 weeks then i put males together.
pet shops do get sexes of animals wrong, since i got my 2 degus last june they had 9 babies all together.

Some breeders seperate from mother at around 4-6 weeks just as they have been weaned.
6-8 weeks is ideal. 8 weeks max no longer
