I recall reading somewhere on this forum about using sandpaper on the wheel occasionally to help file down a goo's claws.
This may sound like a really daft question but how do you get the sandpaper to stick to the wheel - everytime I try it falls off as soon as Maggie starts running full tilt.
Alternatively are there any other ways to keep their nails trimmed

hahaha - yeah, that was me sorry - I usually use two staples to clip an overlapping bit to hold it all in place... but make sure the sticky out bits are to the outside lol

Degus don't really need their nails trimmed. They shouldn't overgrow and they may hurt you a little but to me the idea of sandpaper on their feet sounds like a bad idea. I personally wouldn't do it. Imagine running on sandpaper yourself!
Maybe it does work, maybe I'm just soft, but I disagree with it's usage but it's up to the individual.
