Gah I forgot about this! I apologise. The vet wasn't sure what the bleeding was about, but she is pregnant with at least three little ones. He said some pregnancies, even in humans, have a little bit of blood and considering her belly is expanding it means the babies are still growing. She looks like a little cartoon character... We've also got her another female friend called Tink...

Aww bless her, she looks so tiny. I can't imagine how she is going to fit 3 baby goos inside that little body . Do you know how old she is? How did you get on introducing Tink to her? Is she a similar age, she looks bigger in that photo... Very cute gooeys though! Bet you can't wait for her to give birth?! I still sometimes wish one of mine was a female...

I had something similar with Theresa over the past few days, I assume it was a mixure of blood and the fluids they're in inside and as I was pretty sure she was pregnant I just cleaned her off each time and hoped for the best. Had she passed her due date I would have gone to the vet to have it checked out, but I was confident it was nothing serious.
I was a little worried as she had a few little falls in her big cage, another reason I wanted her in the small cage for the remaining time of her pregnancy, but I assumed (or hoped) that the secretion was to do with something else and it seems so...I'll check on her in a few days now the babies have been born, and see if there's any reoccurrence of the blood.

Tink's smaller than Penny, but Penny was a little pregnant when we introduced them so I'm not sure if they're the same size. They're both fairly young I'd assume as the Pet Shop always sells younger ones. We introduced them with the method of you put them both in a neutral environment, so neither have left smells to intimidate the other one or claim territory. Penny does look small in the pictures, but when she's sat normally and Tink's beside her she looks HUGE. Something like a furry hippo. She's getting a bit jealous lately as Tink keeps jumping out the cage when we're playing and Penny can't lift her weight so it's quite amusing watching her trying to climb onto Tink and out the cage.
I'm so excited for her to give birth though. She looks ready to burst, and I had a feel and her nipples are there now and I read somewhere that's a sign of the babies coming in about a week... so it should be soon. I'll be sure to get pictures posted though!
