Nuttz, it is absolutely NOT safe for hamsters! I'm glad to see you're not using it any more:)

I just bought the snugglepad for my goos, and after a few minutes of sniffing and nibbling they then proceeded to stretch out as much as possible on it, arms and legs akimbo, chin to the pad. And they did not move off it for the rest of the night I thought I'd post some photos of them, they are just too cute for words! Sorry about the size of the last picture, I had resized it in photobucket but it doesn't seem to want to do it.

Thanks guys for the advice. I didn't buy any hamster bedding in the end, after research and your own opinions I seriously do not think it should be sold. The thing was, when I brought my boys for p@h the man who served me actually recommended for them! I couldn't believe what he was saying (after having hamsters a number of times, I never thought it was 'safe').
I just ordered two of those snugglesafe heat pads, should be delivered in the week sometime. I think my boys will love it!

Great pictures! They look so blissfully content and happy on that! I would want to put the snuggle pad on my lap, and then the degus on the pad, and THEN I would want to stroke and tickle them. I don't think they would stay still for it though. LOL!

Just wanted to add my thumbs up for the snugglesafe. I bought one from amazon and they love it. Rather than having a doze in their nest box they snuggle up on the snugglsafe - so I get to see them so cute. Its also reassuring to know they won't get too cold during the day if I'm out and the heating isn't on. They don't seem interested in trying to chew it either.

Little update as the listing ended a few days ago: cgi.ebay.co.uk/Snuggle-Safe-Microwave-Heatpad-/110606700887Slightly cheaper at £16 with £3 delivery (other was £17.59 with £3 delivery) and this looks like an ongoing auction (17-18 days left but that'll change probably when it gets close to the date and the auction continues onward) I am considering buying one of these for each of the cages as a christmas present, that's only 6 cages so almost £120 (cry) :-)
