Hi all, I picked up my 2 new goo's tonight they are only 12 weeks old and oh so tiny like little mice its the first time i've ever had goo's but have done loads of research on them. I have a John Hopewell cage with loads of ledges and wooden bits to chew on they seem to be settlling in ok the pet shop has told me they are males but because of the age they couldn't really tell. They are called Pepsi and Max

Hi
just thouht I would give an update on my 2 babies pepsi and max.. Well as you know I got them 4 days ago and to start with the smaller one (pepsi) would just hide and run everytime my hand went in but max came to me straight away on the first day. I tried again today and to my surprise pepsi started exploring my hand this time he started nibbling his way up to my wrist then he just jumped on, so i took him out the cage and sat stroking him for abit, when i placed him back into the cage they both wanted to come and play but i can only hold one at the time... Is there any way of handling them both together because when i just get one out the other just sits staring through the cage waiting for his turn?

I always put all three of mine up on my shoulders. When I have all three out, I usually wear something like a hoodie over top of a shirt so that they can run around inside the hoodie if they want to as well. It make for a rather busy . . . hoodie. But it is fun and they love being able to do it. Sometimes I will bring out all three to be on my shoulders and then I will give them sunflower seeds that are still in the shell . . . out of my mouth. I make sure that I have four each already in my mouth, and then I pop them out through my lips one at a time . . . or I hold them in my teeth so that my lips are out of reach. My boys have learned to be very gentle so I very rarely get a lip injury. They are so accustomed to getting seeds out of my mouth that often when I have them out for just a visit (not a nosh) they will check out my lips just in case there is something there. It tickles!

Ah bless they are amazing animals I'm so glad mine have settled in well. I also have a yorkshire terrier who is fascinated by them, he will sit by their cage all day watching them ( the cage is on the floor) and the best thing is they don't seem bothered by Him, I have read they prefere to be kept away from other animals but they even come to the front of the cage and sniff him maybe because they are only about 12 weeks they will grow up being used to him constantly staring at them
