Best advice is to ask away if you have a question. Degutopia and this forum both are prime places for you to read up on the info you need to know about degus, there's no point in any of us repeating what they say for each new owner :-)

Hi Pom im also new but have learnt so far lots of talking to them , use treats to get them to come to you and get used to you (this happen quite quick for me) then get ready for when they want to come out the cage and play as one of mine now loves it and just runs for it to have a look about the room god there quick

Hey Pom! Welcome to the forum and to the world of degu rule. They are wonderful little loves, but there can be a lot to know about them. Here is a link to another board on the forum here that has some good advice in it. deguworld.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=behaviour&action=display&thread=5337 Have a read through this, it will give you a good start. Then, as Smux and Slaine have said, ask your questions no matter how many or how weird you may think they are. Degus do some weird stuff.
