Hello to anyone who has time in their busy lives to read this. I have decided that I must be the laziest person on here as I'm always on here and not doing anything I should be!!!! It's either laziness or I'm completely obsessed with anything degu!!! I rekon I check here at least every 10 mins just in case anyone's posted but there just aren't enough things to reply to (I dont really know enough about the health or behaviour problem stuff to make valid comments). Anyway, if anyone gets bored, I'm normally around for unimportant chats I would love to know else is as boring as me - or am I the worst?

Crazy is probably the best way to describe me although I'm sure my husband would find a few choice names to call me!!! lol x

LOL! I know how you feel, and it will begin to slow down with time. I was constantly on here when I first joined too. Now . . . I usually on here 3-4 times a day. I've been a member for over 3 years now. It wears off a lot quicker for others, but I find I enjoy it a lot here, and I love hearing the thoughts and bits and bobs of the other members. So, you're not alone!! We can be crazy together. (Just have a look at my number of posts made and you'll see!)

Lol xx I enjoy reading other degu peeps' views and thoughts. I live in a tiny village and I'm like the only gay in the village ( the Matt Lucas character ) there isn't a single fellow degu lover here!!! I tried telling people how fab they are but no-one gets it every non degu person I talk to just thinks they are like rats!!! They couldnt be more wrong, I think I should make it my new mission to turn them into degu lovers! I need a new purpose in life and I think I've just found it - what do you all think? I will be the degu converter xx lol xx

LOL! You will be swimming against the flow, I suspect. Some can be won over slowly, but you really need to be able to have them see them when they are interacting with you, and just being themselves full on. So . . . you'll have to invite them all over to tea, one or two at a time, and then while they are seated and relaxed, quickly put up a degu proof enclosure around the room and let the degus out for a run. Hmmm . . . . . . you may need to install restraining straps on you "guest" seating. This way they can't run away, but they will get to enjoy them!!! ;D Might be best to start small before you go big. LOL!!

Lol, I know what you mean, I'm jobhunting at the moment and it isnt helping that I'm always logged on here! lol, and its the same here, when most my friends see my babies theyre petrified, especially if I open the door to tickle one, they just think theyre stocky little rats lol

I'm sure that together we can all persuade the rest of the world to embrace degus I have just ordered a happy house chinchilla cage so hopefully it will be here tomorrow, then instead of spending hours a day researching cages I can start decorating the new cage!!! Not sure what I will do when that's ready, maybe I will have to start looking at making my own cages to keep my mind on degus!!! lol xx

Yea, it's fab - I wish I could build stuff!! Maybe with my spare time I should take up carpentry and build cages to sell xx the only problem with that is I know I would end up with no space in my house - imagine being able to build big cages cheap.....I'd be over run with goos xx lol xx

Aw, thanks very much cazara! fingers crossed mum and babies will be fine! Its not a planned pregnancy though, bought them from pets at home as 2 girls! never thought to check untill Edna started swelling. Naughty Ernie! lol, must admit though, pets at home have been brilliant (when I finally got hold of them) they gave me another cage, a bedding box, water bottle, some bedding, degu nuggets and my choice of substrate! (I use carefresh) so I'm a happy bunny lol I learnt looooooads about degus before I bought them, it took me aaaaaages to persuade my dad 2 let me have them lol, but I must admit i had to do a LOT of research when It became apparent I had a pregnancy on my hands because its not something I ever thought I'd need to know about lol
