Hi there
I have brought my Goos up on p@h degu pellets but now i am having issues with pets at home, it breaks my heart to see the lil critters in spaces way too small and ill equipped (not just goos everything) so i no longer want to purchase anything from p@h, hence i need good reccomendatiosn for feed and hay online suppliers ( i only have one other pet store in town and they keep animals in worse conditions than p@h) cheers Vxx

Hi violetfae, Here's the suppliers I use online: The ferret shop - I use them to buy Xtravital degu food. Zooplus - they are good for treats, herbs, plants and flowers, JR Farm food. They also sell hay but I haven't bought any from them yet so can't comment. The Hay Expert - This website is marketed mainly towards rabbits, but both degus and rabbits eat the same hay, herbs, plants, etc. So this website is brilliant for that. Chinchillas2shop - I love this place, has more treats, herbs, hay, etc. Again it's targeted not for degus but for chinchillas but there are lots of 'degu safe' foods on there. The lady who runs this shop is lovely and is very quick to respond to any questions. Pet Supermarket - the online version of P@H. Hope this helps

www.zooplus.co.uk is a pet shop online which doesn't sell pets (but does also sell cages that are too small for the different pets). From there you could get hay and also JR Farm Degu Special or JR Farm Degu Premium which are probably the best choice for hard feed. From www.thehayexperts.co.uk/ you can get hay and a variety of dried plant stuff. I think Kat was very happy with their service. I hope that we will have more links in the near future, so watch this space.

I but degu xtravital from amazon - I have a subscription - they send me 5 x 500g bags every 2 months and it means I get 10% off.

Could you do me a favour fuzzymum and check the protein levels on the xtravital food you get off Amazon. If it's the lower 13% (or something like that) I'll be also ordering off them.
