I need a bit of advice. When we got the girls, we bought some degu pellets from pets at home and some Beaphar xtravital. They won't touch the pellets but they were quite happy with the xtravital which as now run out. I've ordered some but in the meantime what can I give them? I tried the "you WILL eat what's given to you" approach but I can't, I'm too weak. I have plenty of Timothy hay, I've given them peas, sweet potatoes, coriander, crackers and oats but that's usually their treats and not their normal food. I've also picked out the crushed peas and the alfalfa from the hamster mix. What would you do? Pets at home doesn't do the xtravital. Oh and if anyone wants nearly 2 kg of degu nuggets, let me know ;D

I'm not sure what I'd do, it depends how long it's going to be. You could probably get some gertie guinea easily, they'll probably eat that.

I had that issue as well. I gave them crackers, herbal delight, dried brocoll, etc. But I did lots of being stubborn and hope they eat the pellets but I would eventually give in when they weren't eating anything.

mine went through a phaze of not eating the pets at home nuggets, but I just persisted and they do again now, but saying that, Ive never tried the xtravital. I'm sure if all they got were the nuggets and hay and just a little veg here n there again, they would start eating it? Sometimes u gotta b cruel to be kind lol
