This might sound like an absolutely dumb question, but when you need to know.... ask, ey? What's the best way of drying veg for your pikachus?
My guys seem to be selective feeding and leaving all the same bits in their food - naughty! I already feed them two brands of food. Supreme Science Degu Biscuits and XtraVital Degu. Think it might be wise to give them Degu nuggets on top of that or is that too many different types of food?

You can shred them and then put them in your oven at the lowest heat it can start at, and leave them for a hour or two. Just check them every once in a while and see how they feel.

That's perfect! I thought that's how you did it quickly! Just thought it best to check since I always worry about getting things wrong, lol. New cage is here.... it's an awesome step up for them!

I slice them quite thinly and put them in the oven.
Not too thin though, as in using a potato peeler, they go to nothing and stick to the baking tray and fall to bits (as I found on my first attempt).
While your at it make use of the whole oven and put leaves and any bits of edible branches in there too, including dandelions, rose hips, haws and nettles. (nettles loose there sting after drying)
I do carrier bags full at a time, from my dog walking/foraging trips, sometimes in the oven, sometimes in the airing cupboard on newspaper (leaves that is). Just keep turning them every so often so the bottom ones dry too.
Lasts then for ages, and with autumn virtually here, worth getting as much as possible done before all the leaves brown and drop.
I then put a small handful in everyday with there eating hay.

Ah, it's awesome to know you can dry it all in bulk. Would be a nightmare having to dry veg all the time. I certainly not a cook! lol. I'm assuming this can be done with veg too?
