My partner went to P@H the other day and out of the blue he bought a treat back for all the degus (he NEVER buys them treats. I was so shocked, lol). Anyway, he bought them something I never would have thought of buying for them myself because at first glance, I wouldn't have thought them ok for degus. I just have to check as it was very sweet of him to bring these home? What does everyone think? He said he bought them because it says ok for degus and has a picture of a degu on the front of the pack... hehe www.petsathome.com/shop/yoghurt-drops-small-animal-treat-75gm-by-pets-at-home-26523Ingredients: Isomalt, milk and milk derivatives (yoghurt powder min. 4%) oils and fats, cereals, derivatives of vegetable origin, vitamins, no added colours of preservatives.

Thanks Smux. Wasn't sure if they were safe. It was the milk in them that made me think they weren't safe. I'll give them a go. HAHA.... I tried one to see what they were like (coz I'm curious...and pehaps a little wrong in the head) They tasted like little balls of sugary crap TBH.

This is typical P@H They contain 30% oil and fats!! I would give them only occasionally and in very small amounts.

Aww, bless your partner, that's really sweet! So...do your goos like the treats?!
I caught my OH giving Dave tickles yesterday when he was in the little cage while I was cleaning out their big cage. He still maintains he 'doesn't really like them', I think otherwise though, hehe!

I haven't given them any yet Kins. I think my partner did like them when I only had Sammy and Dean, but then another nine degus on top of that later, he's persistant that he doesn't really like them. In his words, he finds them "Rude, noisy, dirty, time consuming, a drain on my purse (and therefor a drain on his wallet). Horible little squrriels with sharp teeth and a bad attitude!" lol.
He liked Elijah when he was on his own and kept saying that Elijah was 'his pikachu'. He says I can have Elijah back now as he doesn't like him now he's with other degus! lol.

So the only ones that ate them were Stefan (obviously, he'll eat anything!), Gabriel and Elliot. Gabriel will eat anything too, lol. None of the others were interested. Sammy and Dean (the picky eaters of the lot) looked at me as if to say.... "what? Nah thanks, you eat it!".

I've got the same drops and Willow runs away from them, but Buffy and Pip love them. They probably get 1 a week as I was concerned about the fat content so have been giving them sparingly.

I was given these as a random treat off my boyfriend's parents. The bag took well over a year to finish as I'd barely give them even one each a month. Surprisingly they did like them though.

I broke one drop into about four peices and shared them out between them, but as I said, only Stefan, Gabriel and Elliot ate them. On a plus point though, I've got the babies started on their veg young and they love it! (they'll eat anything at this age). My other won't eat their veg. Little sods, lol.

Mine hate veg and they will only eat the occasional herbs.

Mine like herbs. Sometimes they'll eat broccoli, but not very often.
