I'm very sorry to hear that, dl. You've worked wonders getting her this far. I know it's awful, but I know you will cope.

So very sad to hear this. Do know that you have taken such good care of her, and given her so much love, she could not have had a better life than the one you have given her.

I'm sure you will do everything within your power to make her as comfortable as possible for as long as possible.
She's been so lucky to have you as a caring degu mum.

I'm sorry to hear that she's not doing well. It's unfair and sad, but everyone faces old age eventually. You've taken really good care of them, and I'm sure that she feels as good as she possibly can right now knowing that you are caring for her.

It’s not age old that’s making her poorly, me and savvy think she has molar roots that have gone into into her eyes, they are watering bad, she’s weak and her breathing has changed. She’s weeing and her poos are normal but she’s not good x

I'm sorry to say, but she does look pained. From your description, she is feeling very poorly and does not have much strength left. I agree with Savvy's assessment. It's never easy, but it does not look like prolonging the situation would improve her life at this point.

Good to hear that they like their heat pad. Degus tend to really love lounging on them. Just make sure that there is no way for them to touch the wires. These heatpads have a metal covering along the length of the cable

Try and keep her warm. I'm sure she'll feel cold if you feel her. If you haven't got a heat pad handy, perhaps pop her in your hoodie/jumper to offer her some body heat.
When mine had finally had enough, they went to sit by themselves, shunning company. Is she still interacting with the others? How active is she?

Just keep an eye on her, and trust your judgement. If YOU think she's had enough, then trust yourself to make the call.you know her best, after all! If it's just her taking time to turn the corner, your vet will tell you x
