My Degu is now 7 years old and a few months ago lost her partner. She has recently developed a weeping of what seems to be clear wet liquid from her cheeks area. When I looked today, the fur has come off one side of her cheeks. Any advice please?

Does she seem to squint her eyes or rub them? That sounds like it's most likely an eye infection.

That does sound very unusual. Normally all of that would just be down to an eye infection. Is there any kind of swelling or other abnormality (aside from losing fur) in that area? If she lets you touch her there, does it seem like the cheek is painful to touch or anything like that?
Would it be possible for a vet to take a look at her, or at least consult on what could possibly be going on? As she is older, it'd be good to make sure that whatever she has going on isn't something that might get worse.
