Does anyone have any ideas on how to keep and mourning degu interested in her food etc? She's hardly eating. I lost my other little girl on Sunday morning. Obviously Georgie is looking for her. I'm desperate to find her friend.
Thank you

I'm so sorry, you will both be grieving.
The only thing I can think of is to try to tempt her with any favourite treats she may have, even if they are ones she's not really supposed to have very often. At the moment its all about getting food into her.

I am very sorry to hear about your loss. It's hard to lose a fur baby, and it's hard to see our other fur babies mourning. I would work on reassuring her with your presence, building a deeper bond with her and letting her spend time out of the cage with you. This can help her to be less lonely, until the time comes that you have succeeded in finding her a degu companion again.

I've lost three this year, so have been dealing with this a lot. Try and give extra attention - you may even find they want more human contact than normal, and even cuddles! A small soft toy (degu-sized) in the cage can be a substitute for snuggles. Either a small dog toy, or stuff your old odd socks together? Extra treats and, perhaps, some Critical Care should help to keep them interested in food. Breaking the rules in the short term is fine
