If they've ruled everything else out, and basically given her a clean bill of health, could it be the natural slowing down of age?

Basically not being as active as before, taking life at a bit of a slower pace. If there's no signs of anything else, the head shaking and the eye closing could be an irritation of some kind.

Not necessarily, they can bodily age at different rates, just like people.

She’s grained weight so that’s a good thing. She seems tried. Gonna keep an eye on her.

She's had a tough day if she's been to the vet so not surprised she's tired. Glad to hear she's gained weight and got a clean bill of health from the vet.

Only other thing to do would be an xray, but since she has just been sedated, you would be best waiting a while to do that. Trying her on pain meds is a good idea, so let's see how that goes, let us know.
DL you have taken her to the vet and then taken her back to the vet and you are going to give her the pain meds as the vet advised and I also know you will be keeping an eye on her - that is everything anyone could do so you are doing a good job.

Sorry for late reply guys, thank you it means a lot I try to look after them. She’s seems tried today, yesterday she was up and about. She’s drop weight to 231g but no worrying that could be a big wee or something. Now it’s turned out I have Covid too I only have cold symptoms. So I’m off week now for idk now. But I don’t get no pay idk if i can get some kind of help. Does anyone know?

I emailed the vets asking if they can do a X-ray at one point but this is the reply Hi Lauren, I would highly doubt anything would show up on an xray with us. I feel that for any further diagnostics you would be best seeing an exotics 'specialist'. If you call reception they can go through some options. Matt.

Makes me want to ask them why it is that an "X-ray with them" would cause such high doubt that it would show anything. I better stop my wondering there because I feel the snarky rising, and that is not helpful to you, DL21. I am not very pleased with Matt's reply. I am sure you aren't either.
Perhaps it may be a good idea to take them up on the suggestion and see a specialist . . . or at least learn if there is a good one near to you.

I know snowball isn’t very good and she’s tried. I honestly don’t know what they would do. A lot refuse to do her a X-ray cos of her size

I so feel your frustration with all this and I'm so sorry. Would it be possible for your vet to take an X ray and then confur with a specialist vet? I think the vet bouncy uses will offer advice long distance to other vets. I'm just trying to find a workable solution.

You'd have to discuss costs with your vet I'm afraid.
We do know that you are trying to do your best for Snowball, don't worry.

Because Snowball has a vet, your own vet can email him for a second opinion/thoughts, but he won't take a direct query from you unless it's something general. He doesn't like to tread on other vet's toes.
