Hi, just a quick question. And hello to everyone, I havent been on here in a while! I hope you are all doing well.
What's the maximum amount of crocks you can give a week to your goos? I know mine love them, but know I shouldnt give them a lot.
Thanks!!

Hmmm! Well! That's a really good question! I'm not overly familiar with them, though I see them mentioned on here quite often . . . I would think that one a week could be too much. However, having a really quick look online at different Crocks . . . there are some that have REALLY questionable ingredients in regard to degus.
What Crocks do you use, knowing that will be very helpful.

Eep! I give them about 3 a week at the minute... mainly when I leave for work as I feel bad looking at their little faces. My pretty ladies are going to have to go on a diet.

We have a few members who use them as treats. I would say they are treats, and everything should be in moderation. I certainly wouldn't give more than you do.

With some searching, I found the ingredients as should be listed on the package, but I've really got no idea if it is there. LOL! ANYWAY!
I'm not keen on the ingredients. Wheat flour, wheat bran, rice flour, milk powder sub, salt, synthetic flavouring, canola oil, maize starch, alfalfa powder, vitamin premix.

mine get 1 or 2 a week each, or as a medication carrier.
they go MENTAL over them.
Dandelion root is a much better treat, not quite as popular, but still never refused.

I'm comparing it with what is written on mine and it just says "derivatives of vegetable origin (alfalfa herbs 10%), cereals, oils and fats (omega-3 fatty acids 2%), minerals" and "vitamin A 10000 IU, vitamin D3 1500 IU, vitamin E 110 mg, vitamin C 1250 mg"

Mine get one every three days. However, if I am using them as a way of giving them their meds, they get one with each dose.
