I've succumbed, and turned the AC on for the goos for about an hour. Lots of squeaks because of the noise, but Sillygoo is now eating and Spidey's sat in the bowl throwing out all the bits he doesn't like. I'm sat in here with them, but can't have the AC on and the barrier up, so they can't go for a run.

I'd love an AC! Lucky goos.
Mine aren't suffering too badly today.
Had lots of attention from me which they enjoyed, except for Pumba who was in constant fear the whole time lol!
I tried the pea lolly... mmm.. only Pinky and Perky liked it, licking away at it for about 2 minutes lol. Everyone else turned their noses up. Rude!

Much cooler here today. Checked on the boys when I was woken by a massive thunderstorm at 7am, they never even flicked a whisker. Still getting the teeth chittering when I go near them, but less than the last few days.
Today they are eating better, much more active and the room temp is down to 21degrees.

We had that storm too, how rude of it to wake me up. I left the bedroom window open over night - cue soaking wet windowsill & blind (& a peed off cat biting my feet to wake me up) Thunderbolts & lightning, very very frightening (mama mia!) Is so muggy now that the back yard feels tropical. Worried about the chins now, humidity is their kryptonite. We've been lucky in that the house is much cooler than outside generally, but I am considering buying a dehumidifier for the damp weather now. Any one seen any cheap?

I take back that it's cooler after the storm, it's not, and it's really muggy too, how can there be a thunderstorm and then it be really muggy after? Just checked the forecast, I should be receiving the same chill as Savvy very soon You could check Screwfix for dehumidifiers, I don't think any decent ones are exactly cheap though, I got a Meaco one a couple of years ago.

I had a pod before that contained some salts which absorb moisture from the air. It worked pretty good behind the bathroom units, when we had a leak back there. The plaster on the floor was dark with water and day by day I visually saw it dry out. Not as good as the machine but maybe worth a shot in the interim www.cherishbrand.com/products/room-dehumidifier?utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=googlepla&variant=32635160263&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIqaGbt9rP1AIVR7ftCh3DlwzHEAQYAyABEgIyVfD_BwE

Guys down south need to wait for Thursday before the temp starts going down. It'll go to 25 and then 20-ish. Waiting for my taxi this morning (3.30am), I took to the garden hammock for a kip, and had to run back in to get a blanket! It's about 30 over here today, and I've just spent the entire evening sorting out the kitchen after the builders. I was warm, but nowhere near as bad as I felt in the UK and there's no AC in this room. Two hours ahead here, so I'm off to try the new shower and sleep!
