Hey guys has you know I took fudge to the vet today they said her blood pressure was low. I asked what's caused she said being active all the time, not eating, liver or kidney disease and a tumour on the pancreas . I didn't know to say I got lighted headed and had to sit down most likely due shock.i wanted to cry but I waited till I got home.. just why:( she's so young ðŸ˜I don't know what to do or say. How long do they live with kidney or liver disease or a Tumor , what are the signs and symptoms. She did say fudge was a lot bigger in weight and she's gained some ,could that be to the tumor growing.i could be worried for nothing or it's happening. I was talking to her tonight though the cage telling her how much I love her she was listening

Oh, I am so sorry you are feeling this way. It is the worst when you fear something you love is not well. Small creatures can take up such a big place in our hearts. Sometimes we have them for a long time, sometimes just a little bit, far too short.
I know that saying, Don't Worry, won't help at all. Of course you are going to worry, until you know what's going on. But don't let it consume you. Worrying yourself sick won't help her at all. She doesn't need for you to be upset and sick for her. She just needs you to be her human who loves her and takes care of her.
So, at least try to keep the worry in perspective. Until you know what's going on with her, don't let it consume you. Just love her. Love them all. Take care of them the best you know how. If something bad does turn up, you will take care of her. You can do it, look at how much you've learned and done for them in just this short time already.
So, love them. Enjoy them. Take care of them. If it does turn out that Fudge's time is short, she will have no doubt that she was treasured for every minute she was with you. You will have no doubt that she knows she is loved. If it turns out that she is fine, then you will have many years of loving her, but that shouldn't make this time now any less special. No one's time is guaranteed, not a day, not a year, any. So, just live in today with them, and love them and enjoy them, and put the worry to the back of your mind so it doesn't take over the good stuff.
Hoping she will be fine, and maybe she just over ate on treats or something and threw her blood sugar out of whack that way.

I'm so sorry, DL21. Worry over family or pet's health is the worst thing. It can be such a shock, the floor just drops away. And the weight of responsiblity feels so heavy when we don't really know what is going on. I think most of us have felt the same, you aren't on your own.
I think the trick is to just take each day as it comes and keep putting one foot in front of the other. You are doing everything you can. YOU ARE DOING A GOOD JOB. Keep reminding yourself you can only do your best.
One strange episode and one tiny blood sample are not very much to go on at the moment. I think it is too soon to freak out about any possible diagnosis, there are just too many possibilities. I'm sure the vet was just mentioning things that could be possible.
Obviously I'm not a vet, but I honestly think that at this stage the most likely explanation is that perhaps she is in heat and had overexerted herself and not eaten enough. I think this is the simplest explanation.
Do watch out for any change in her weeing or drinking habits as this might give you an indication of a kidney issue.
Do you have a diary or calendar that you could make notes on? Write down what you saw yesterday and make a note of the vet trip. You could go back through your forum notes and see if you can figure out if there have been other periods when she has seemed a bit off. From my memory you do seem to have times when you worry more about Fudge, so if that co-incides with an 18 day pattern approximately, it could just be her being in heat. It's quite normal for them to run in their wheel more, be a bit agitated, excitable, chase their cage mate, and eat less when they are in heat.

Bum sniffing, chasing and mounting and not eating enough are classic for being in heat.

Adorable photo! At this stage, you don't know what is up. Vets feel obliged to tell you something, and they want to be honest. The worst thing they could say is that everything is fine, then things develop into something more serious, so she's going to tell you about the more severe stuff. Please don't worry about what you don't know or what you can't control. You may end up burning yourself out over nothing. Just enjoy being with your little fudgeball

About 3 to 7 days. Some people say they only notice symptoms for 2 or 3 days, but I can see changes in my girls for about a week.
How is Fudge doing now?
