She was having a run on the wheel this morning, and seemed to have her balance back she was not going as fast as the others but was not slipping off like she was doing a couple of days ago. Good to see her recovering well though

Looking very mischievous up there behind the wheel! Don't worry about her being fast - I've got one that drags his feet and goes half the speed of the others, but he's happy

Good news, my gu is back to herself I tried to get her out the cage to make sure the tail was healing ok etc and I could not catch her shes too fast!! On a side note, I was visiting pets at home on Saturday to get some tubes and gnawing things and they had some new stock of Degus, they were absolutely petrified of everything and had sat behind their house doing alarm calls, eventually one came out and they were tiny I am sure they were too young to be sold, and if not far too young to be on display in a busy store I really wanted to buy them but I until my new cage is done I can't

Out of curiosity, I am pretty sure shes bottom of the pile in terms of hierarchy, would spending her time with me out the cage cause the other 2 to dislike her etc shes very much the odd one out of the group!

I think her smelling of you might have some influence, it wouldn't necessarily but it could. Perhaps now that she is doing better and her taming is going well, you could do more taming work with the others and try to get them more used to you and your smell and so that you can touch them a little so that it becomes normal for them to smell traces of you on all of them.

the other two will happily sit on my hand in the cage, providing I bribe them with treats :/ but taking them out the cage is a bit more troublesome.
once my custom cage is built I fully intend to build them a pen too so I can interact with them, this should hopefully help!

She looks all melty and contented on your hand. What a lovely girl she is!!
I would be watching the other two to see you can detect any signs of growing aggression or bullying as a result of the time she spends with you. This is not something you can just relax on either, as a change can come at any time, depending on her place in the group, and what they think of you, and whether or not any one of them decides it is not acceptable. While it is not an issue now, may not be for the next weeks or months even, that doesn't mean it mightn't ever be an issue. Degus can develop a grudge or peeve at any given time, so be aware and observant so that if possible you catch the signs early.
Hopefully, they will all begin to congregate to you, and it will never be a problem at all. I hope this for you!
