When Squidgy and the pups come out, they're always trying to get a look at the big boys. I've got hardboard across the front of the liberta, panels on the sides, but they still keep trying to get up to see them. Always some squeaks, and there's always the odd nip, but I leave them to MTFU. After all, repeatedly antagonising Spidey's asking for trouble!
There was about 10 minutes yesterday when Spud was sat inside at the top of the ramps looking at me (normal), and the same on the kitchen floor. When he moved on the floor, he left a trail of blood. Tracing back, I found three pools of blood, each the size of of a 50p coin! It seemed like a massive amount of blood for such a little dude!
He still won't let me near him (except for coming to snatch treats), but he was still bouncing around the place, and it looks today like an injured but healing paw.

Is he still leaving blood behind? Do you see him eating and drinking OK? They seem to be able to lose a lot . . . when our boys had really nasty fights for a while, there were some times where I really wondered if there was anything left inside. I don't know what to say at this point, as I'm sure blood transfusions for small animals is not a thing. I hope he stays good, Bouncy!!

Oh he's fine. In fact, he left a pool of blood on the flying saucer because he wanted to try and run! The little dude has a wound, and initial scabbing looks good. He's no problem running about on it and he's certainly not got it tucked away underneath him for sympathy like Squidgy. They never learn, though. They were all trying to attack the liberta again this evening. I need to film little nutjob trying to climb with his little helicopter arms!

yasmin - genius! Added it to shopping list, great idea. How's he doing today bouncy , hope he's ok? The thing I dislike most about degus/chins/rabbits are they're so hard to help, why don't they know we're only helping?! Guinea pigs & rats are much easier in that respect. Stoopid goos & their lack of English language communication skills

Oh he's never let me near him. He knows I have treats, but will snatch and run at least 1m before feeling safe. On the occasions when I have managed to pick him up, he's opted for flying squirrel impersonations.
Yep, have a tub of the powder but, being in the kitchen, I'd have just grabbed the cornflour ☺️
