We finally got a scale and weighed the three guys (or two guys and a gal). I seem to remember that these types of weights are probably typical, but can't find any posts to compare to. The real point, however, will be to watch Phil's weight, since he may be Philomena (Phyllis? Philicia?). Weighed them last Saturday, will weigh again every Saturday. (not much point in doing it more often, is there?)
Mac (Macadamia) is 296g Wally (Walnut) is 262g Phil (Filbert) is 271g
When we got them last October, (at almost 2 years old), clearly they were three different sizes, with Phil being the smallest. So, Phil is either getting fat, or pregnant. Time will tell.

No, not much point in doing it more often. I would say that their weights look pretty normal to me. Nothing alarming anyway.

Definitely normal. Hang on, we're talking about degus. Normal doesn't enter into it!

Very good weights, used to monitor mine every month but too many now! It is handy to do often though when not quite sure of a pregnancy as the weight will spiral upwards at a fast rate. Mac must luv his food as that's a very good weight! My girl Nina was around this weight once and she had 2 chins lol but I suppose it depends on their size and how they carry it.

Maybe it's American degus? When we got these three, they were surprisingly smaller than Chester, our very first degu. Chester was 6, and they were almost 2, so certainly full grown.
