How can I keep my degus cool in this hot weather? Any suggestions would be very helpful.

Move into my house. (it is cold)
I sometimes put ice into a bowl or rap it up in kitchen role so they get can down.

What about putting a plastic bottle of water in freezer, wrap it in a couple of socks once its frozen and pop it in there cage so they can lie next to it.

Ceramic tiles are good. They an lie on them and find them cooling. A fan blowing over iced water works well too.
Having said that, it's currently 31 degrees outside, and mine haven't stopped running in their wheels all day! The cage door has been open for a couple of hours and they've been running around. Now they want to sit and chill, they're lying on everything EXCEPT the porcelain tile floor in the kitchen!
