Hi
Im having a bit of a nightmare! I bought an Aventura cage because I have zero DIY skills. I have spent the week putting it together and now come to put the roof on and find there are no screwholes or any method of attaching the roof to the cage. The panel is smaller than the outside so cannot just be balanced on top.
There are zero instructions, just one sheet showing a diagram of the cage and no indication on that on how to attach. Ive been in B&Q all morning and came home with some brackets but due to the cage wires running in opposite directions on the side from the top I cannot get them to work.
Could someone who has this cage tell me how I am supposed to attach the roof panel please. I am desperate to finish it as the degus are due to arrive in the next few days.
PLEASE help
thanks

I do not have that cage, but I do have a suggestion. Have you looked to see if there is a support number that you can phone for help listed on the paper work that came with the cage? Or on the packaging that the cage was boxed in?

Or on the packaging that the cage was boxed in? Hi deguconvert, thanks for replying. There was no paperwork with the cage, just the single sheet with the cage diagram on it. I have googled till my fingers are blue and found a single page site for the manufacturer with no support at all offered. I was hoping that someone else may have posted further instructions online but all I can find is others asking for help and saying what a pain the cage is to put together!

Well that sucks big time. I'm sorry there is such a dirth of help from the manufacturer and online. I wish there were someone here that could give you a word of advice. I really don't know if there are members with that cage. Do you think you could post pictures of it from a few different angles and maybe we can get creative?

Can you put some pictures up of the sheet and the cage? Hopefully between us all we can figure it out with you

Find a rat or ferret forum, and ask there, more likely that people will have dealt with this cage.

I have the US version of this cage, the Critter Nation. The top fits on by the four little pegs in the corner, they just slip into the holes in the top corners of the sides. If your top does not have four little pegs in the corners, could you have used the top for the middle shelf, or the back, instead? Or if there are not holes in the top corners of the sides, could you have them upside down or something like that?
I can't find a good enough picture of the Aventura to tell if the construction is the same as my cage, but that's how mine works.

Thank you for your responses and offers of help. With the help of family and friends the conclusion is the panels at the bottom are actually the top. It means that the base is not physically attached to the rest of the cage which I think is bad but it makes more sense than a loose floating roof panel! So, with the help of a tall strong friend we have flipped the cage, but then realised this means my half shelves will be on the wrong side so I am back to taking most of it apart and reassembling! But at least I have a stable roof now:-)
3 days and counting till degus arrival so I had better go and get on with it. Thanks again

The bottom is not attached permanently because it is meant so you can slide it in and out for easier cleaning, or be replaced by a removable tray, or both like many bird cages. We have a similar cage for my aunts chinchillas and two more for the blue and go,d macaws over night cageS.
