Hi, my degu is having some teeth issues lately. She's almost 7 years old. 10 days ago I took her to the vet for trimming and she didn't eat right for three days. Now she's fine again. She's very active and eats properly but hasn't gained all the weight back. Now I noticed that one of her upper front teeth is wobbly. I think she injured herself because she can be a little crazy and hiperactive and it started wobbling. Does anybody know if it will just fall out and grow back again or should I take her to the vet? Costs are not an issues I just don't want her to go back so soon if it's not urgent because it's stressing her out.

Degu's teeth will grow back, they always growing that is why they need a lot the bit on, take your degu to the vet they could take it out for the degu.

It should fall out and then grow back. You may have a problem with the opposing tooth overgrowing a bit in the meantime, but not necessarily, keep an eye on things and take to the vet if it looks like it's not growing back normally. She will need lots of sticks to chew to control the opposing tooth. It should take about 4 to 5 weeks to grow back in.
Have you had a good look over the diet to try to help as much as possible with teeth issues? As much forage and vegetation as possible is good, and also being careful about feeding sufficient calcium and not too much phosphorus (in poor commercial foods and grains).

Thanks for answers. I adapted her diet because of the calcium and also because she can be very picky. Especially about vegetables. I just noticed most of her tooth broke away. The rest will probably fall out too. If there will be any complications I will take her to the vet.
