I have four 11 week old male degus that need a new home as soon as possible.
Would let them go in pairs.
Sorry do not have a cage spare to go with them.

They will keep you busy, it is bad enough trying to open the cage door when there are three trying to get out....imagine four Do they have names yet?

Erm..oh dear..I do have a door selection, hopefully while they're skittish they'll just run away and I can practice ninja skills lol.. No names yet, waiting til I work their personalities out a bit..one very daring acrobat one..2 quite brave explorers and one much more of a thinker..might call him Plato

That's what we did...we did try themes, but they didn't really work and we couldn't agree so we each named one with a name we thought suited them

Lol I only have problems if they team up on me and if it's not their designated feeding times when I open the doors, it's not so bad with four! If your cage has a door on a higher level then try using that one to interact with them as the height may put them off escaping (or at least make them use you as an escape route ).

Felt the need to explain trying to keep FIVE inquisitive degus in a cage when you open the door. In this house it is known as the "five degus Shuffle" lol. Also want to agree with the names thing, but a word of caution... Our pups were "Paley" and "Darkey" when we brought them home (three guesses why...)until we came up with good names for them. Duncan came up with Taryn for Darkey... We did give Paley a name but only after it was too late. So she is still Paley. Xanthe is like her Sunday name LOL.

I see lots of Degu watching in your future Even now i'll sometimes go into my sons room where they are and sit and drink my tea and watch what they get up to. And then there are all the times I just can't resist checking up on them or seeing what they're up to every time I go upstairs

No idea how I've gotten any work done!

At feeding time my daughter always tackles Elliott and the girls cage with her housecoat on, the degus all run inside the sleeves whilst we get the food ready. This morning my daughter went to school, and left me to feed the mob...I really should have put a dressing gown on...it was chaos They were in the bowls while I was filling them up and then I would get two back in the cage to find out number 3 had escaped again!!!...I even had one in the bin at one point...never again
