as you know my degus are over 6 months, they seem to be fighting at random points in the day eps when i'm around the cage, there play fighting moslty boxing casing and push each other looks violent but no blood i think they might be Bord but it seems they fight for no reason i know it spring but seems strange cause they'll fight for a few moment and go quite for ages and do it again and i'll find them in there hammock together like nothing happened 0-o

my 2 newbies are about the same age and they're fighting all the time, their older friend just wants to sit around and eat and he seems thoroughly fed up of being mounted

My degus are over a year old now and they still play fight. As long as they're making the happy, chittering sounds, then it's ok. Also mine will produce some more 'annoyed' sounds when it comes to the whole dominance settling issue. From what I can tell (and have read) this is all ok and normal. They will do the whole dominance thing throughout their lives, and may even change as to who is dominant. Only time to be careful is when they start causing injuries to each other.
