Hi All
I have a slight concern with my degu Charlie's teeth. 3 of them are a nice health orange colour but the bottom right one has always been white and has since broken off. It started growing back for a while (still white) but has now broken off again. It doesn't seem to affect his eating at all and the tooth above it is still being ground down, i'm just slightly worried it's a sign of some underlying problem. Has anyone else had this happen to any of their goos?

Didn't want to read and run, not sure, sounds like it may be something your goo was born with, if your other goo's teeth are fine and the 3 are a nice orange it may be something you can't solve. I would be safe and go to the vets but I seriously haven't ever heard of anything like this before.

I haven't either, and I agree with Cherpi, it likely isn't something that you can solve. I tend to think that it probably isn't a problem for him, especially if you haven't seen anything else that would signal a problem. I think . . . well . . . I would just keep an eye on things, and if you notice that he is having trouble with his other teeth, or he is losing a bit of weight, definitely take him in to be looked at.
