I'm going to be bringing a degu pup (8 weeks ish) home this week, but I'm collecting it from central London and as I don't drive and even if I did it would be hellish getting through London in the car, my only option is to go by train. I've worked out it's just under an hour journey coming back with him, will this be very stressful for the degu? I've got a good little carry cage I'm planning to put some small towels in so he can hide and be comfy, and bring a bit of food etc. Any other tips? How do you think he'll handle the journey?

I would say not, it would be worse in a car, constant stopping, the train only stops every so often at train stations and you barley notice. It's quite silent too. Only an hour is fine.

Yeah. Train will have a smoother journey than a car I suppose, I'm planning on going in the middle of the day between morning and evening rush hours so hopefully because everyone will be at work the trains and stations won't be so packed.
