LOL! I take it there is a previous "aquaintance" there, Angel45 and Minxie?
Welcome to the forum. Sounds like you've fallen hook, line, and sinker, for your degus. They are rather flush with charm! This is a good place to be. Welcome aboard.

Thankyou for the friendly greetings! I am going to try and get some pictures again today, i tried lastnight but when they have a munch they turn there back on me...disgusted i could even consider taking pictures whilst having brunch i think......lol Yes deguconvert Angel and i know each other, and that Hubby of hers. We became friends in the rabbit world, i started with only one there and now i have 12 so my partner was silly to think 2 degus would be it.......lol. but on the plus side they all have a loving mummy.

It looks great! Is that yellow tube thing as thick and fluffy as it looks? OOOO! I would love to put my hands inside it . . . minus degu poos and wees that is. LOL! Is the new cage an add on type thing, or is it something bigger?

That slumber tunnel is the same as the one that injured Steve's leg deguconvert.
Please be careful with those. My degu almost lost his leg - it became very swollen and sore for him. The material inside the fluff is nylon mesh I think and it is very constricting. I went in one day to see him stuck inside the tunnel and I couldn't even tell it was a leg anymore. I had to carefully cut open the top with scissors and hold him in the car to the vets (he was exhausted think he did not sleep through the night/day/not sure how long he was stuck.) He was lucky, it took a month for it to even remotely be normal. It became swollen to about twice the normal size and a nail also fell out too during the healing time.
Either remove it or remove it as soon as it becomes chewed. I'd suggest fleece ones from hammocky hammocks or similar. No risk of injury.

Thanks for that Emz, they came with it and i have to say since they have been here and got new hammock and toys they haven't really bothered with it, once there new cage is here im not sure it will go in anyway, they use it more as a run through tunnel than a hammock.

I love seeing new cages. And I am glad you listened to my warning. Sorry if I seemed very "doom sayer" but I just was so shocked when it happened and it was stressful for Steve and I'd hate to see that again on another fluffbomb. I may have missed it, but what are the dimensions of your new cage? ;D
