Hiya! Can i start off with a UGH!!!!! I was reading on degutopia and here and it said that Gerty Gunipig (sp? ) is a good food to feed the goos, so i got them some and started introducing it to their food which they have the PAH Nuggets, and some of the Science Plan Selective blocks, now they will eat the blocks and the gerty but not the nuggets. Will this cause them a problem? Or will they be ok on just the Gerty and the selective? Should i phase out the PAH food and just keep them on the two or should they only be fed one of the two? Fussy little devils! x

They will be absolutely fine with gertys guinea and science selective. I am afraid your only chance to deplete your stocks of nuggets is to add a few to the mix and hope they won't notice

Lol, I've heard of this happening sooo many times, the feed should really be phazed out over the course of 10 days to stop them getting an upset tummy, but just watch them and make sure that even if you only give them a tiny bit of gerty or science selective compared to the nuggets, they may go on hunger strike and only eat the bits they like! Too little food is more likely to upset their tummies rather than new food, so in that case I'd recommend you just give them the new stuff. I hope this makes sense lol.

Hmph fussy little devils! haha! I have like a good 1k of the nuggets left! They will eat the things whether they want to or not... Hmm they did eat them happily until they decided that the gerty was much better. -Sigh- So you guys recon is fine to weem them off the nuggets, (which they dont really eat) slowly and just leave them on the Science and the Gerty... Ok sounds good to me i shall work on the little devils . I also wanted to ask if the coconut fibre rope is safe? Its the stuff they make door mats out of. Its basically the same as sisal rope but it is made from coconut fibres.

I bought mine some gerty for an occasional treat. Now the P@H nuggets get ignored (after I fet them gerty twice) and they'll eat hay instead of the nuggets. I think it's quite cleat the nuggets must taste horrid (brussel sprouts?).
I've almost got a mutiny on my hands if I give them just nuggets.
