I have been give a dried herb mix designed for horses called "dodson and horrell show blend" Most of the things in it I know they can have but I can't find any info on whether they can have fenugreek or seaweed.
The description says "A compound complementary feeding stuff for equines containing: Nettle, fenugreek, marigold, goldenrod, seaweed, mint and Red clover"
At around £9 for a 1kg tub it's way better value than the little packets I can get in P@H. They do other blends apparently which I will look into when get the chance.

I know that fenugreek is safe but have not heard anything about seaweed. Would the salt levels in this be too high?

I've just seen they do a herb blend called "stroppy mare" ROFL - I've got to get a sack load of that stuff for my Florence!
Sorry, don't know about the seaweed. I know kelp can affect the thryroid in humans, and is high in iodine, so I would think caution is needed.

Stroppy mare!! Brilliant!! ;D
As for the seaweed, it is high in iodine and I have no idea if degus can handle that. I don't think much seaweed grows up in the highlands of Chile!
