Hey Guys?
As some of you know I recently aquired two new goosberrys (a mum and a daughter) from P@H - figured they needed saving! Only thing is I noticed about two days ago they moma goo seems to have got a little chunkier? Ive looked all over this section of website and i kind of think she might be pregnant?
Her back story sort of would fit seeing, shes adopted and also baby goo is only months old.
ive tried checking for baby bumps but to me her stomach just feels like when you blow out you cheeks, so not rock solid but not squidgy fat?
I am hoping that im over thinking this, i just kind of noticed about two days ago that she looked a bit fatter than id noticed before?
what do you guys think??

If shes preg you will see more of a weight gain, i wouldnt tey to handle her too much as this can cause problems for mum, just lay your hand flat with oats and let her climb on, try and do this so you may be able to feel babies move. This also will let you feel her weight and if you do this every day if she is pregnant you will be able to feel the gain.
Watch the amount of water that shes drinking, this was another sign i saw with my 2 girls.
If you have noticed weight gain just in the last few days chances are shes due soon!
Put some tissues or an old item of clothing (shredded) in the cage so ahe can make a nice comfy nest for if/when she has babies. Good luck

I'm starting to "worry" that my Willow is pregnant too. Adopted from P@H with another girl goo. Both bits look like they match, but she's put on about 30g in about a week. She's getting more arrow/pear shaped by the day and she's really grumpy about her food or being touched (to the point she'll nibble if she thinks you're being annoying. The water bottle is also going down a lot quicker than normal as well.
Thankfully Dad's building a new cage as I type this (2' deep, 3' wide and 4' high with 4 full levels) so there will be enough space for them when/if the arrive.
Apart from the nipples showing a week before they pop is there anything else I should look out for?

oh no. It does indeed sound like everyones pregnant, P@H have got a lot to answer for!
@ woodchip, the only ways to tell if she's pregnant is to just keep your eye on her, you know her normal behaviour, and she may get a little more tetchy the more pregnant she gets.
Also, as sazjc123 said, she will start to drink lots of water (at night time especially in my experience).
Once she gets bigger it will be much easier to tell shes pregnant, she'll put on weight around her belly and it will look all lumpy, rather than even, and as you say will look like a pear hape from the top. I know it sounds a bit vague, but once this happens, its unmistakeable, you will know she's not just fat.
The showing nipples is the only other sign really, which they say means you have roughly a week, but my Edna's nipples were showing 2 weeks beforehand, but she did have a big litter (she had 8 pups) which may have had something to do with it.
Its just lucky that the other is a female too (make sure you just double check) as she will help out a lot with the babies without the risk of mum getting pregnant again. Good luck and keep us posted!
