Hey! This is Vespa's cage, he has all 3 layers all to himself, he has houses in the top two layers, grass mats on all layers, tubes, sand bath and a flying saucer. He also has a new hammock on its way. He accesses the layers by running up and down the ramps on the right hand side. Its a cool cage for a teeny little chin!! And this is Spyro's cage. It is enormous 5'8"ish tall and 3'x3' square. You cant really see well from the angle the pic was taken at but all the shelves overlap so he cant fall any further than 18". He zooms around it. The bottom is covered in tiles which keep him cool and it is vacced out everyday to keep it and him nice and clean! It is so big it had to be put together in my spare room and I cant get it out again so he has a bedroom to himself.

Ahh thank you. Vespa had already jumped out and was on his nightly rampage around my house when the pic was taken! It was amazing how quickly Spyro's personality changed from a miserable and quite aggressive little sod who barked at anyone and anything that went near his standard sized old cage into a big softie who chatters away quietly to himself and bounces over to see me and for tickles under his chin when he got more space

I got Vespa's cage from a lady who said she made it herself, she is exceptionally clever if she did, its amazing. I kept coming across it for sale on Ebay, Gumtree, Preloved etc and due to the amount of times I came across it I decided it was fate that I had to buy it!!
Spyro is a little beauty, everyone who meets him is very taken with him, poor little Vespa is not quite as pretty and nobody ever comments on him!!

My very first chin who is now 12yrs old is a wilson white which is probabl why I have such a soft spot for them but I have loads of different colours now and love them all . To be honest I also dont think you can beat the standard greys but then I do have a bit of an addiction to them all ;D Vespa looks gorgeous as well, he looks like an ebony from his pic

It does look almost identical to Hopewell cages, I think this is what she has used as her inspiration in constructing it.
Vespa is a brown velvet, he is very cute, the pics I have got of him dont show off his colour very well, he is always on the go, zooming around everywhere, never sits still for a piccie!

Spyro's cage is now for sale!! My boys paired up after a few months and have been in Spyro's cage ever since. I now need to get some floor space back as I have had a baby and need a bit of room for her! The chins are moving into a converted triple wardrobe today hopefully.
If putting a small chin into this cage you will need to wrap mesh around it - Vespa could get out between the bars so I put aviary mesh around it which stopped his great escapes!
The bottom is lined with floor tiles as I never used and chucked away the tray due to rusting and floor tiles are a million times safer for their legs and feet due to wide bar spacing - remember this is a parrot cage! There is some paint coming off the bars in various places but this cage can be rammed so full of things to do (as I have subsequently done for them) that they take absolutely no interest whatsoever in chewing any bars - for mine, their shelves are much more interesting to attack!!
It is the cage only, no accessories or shelving (Homebase value pine shelving) as they will be re-used in their new cage.
£30 ono collection (fully disassembled) from Swindon, Wilts.
