hi everyone, I live on the East coast of England and my daughter has 2 male degus ages appro a year old. I would just like to know your thoughts on whether it would be a good idea to put the degu cage outside in the garden when the weather warms up. Any thoughts, good or bad, would be appreciated. Thanx.

i know of a few people that have had theirs out in te warmer weather, as long as you take the nessisery precautions (secure area, shade and away from other animals) i wouldnt see a problem.

I've taken mine out into the garden on a nice day a few times. I sit in a garden chair next to the cage reading a book while my son is playing. No problems at all!

yeah i let mine have a run round the garden in their ball in the nice weather. it started because they were in their ball while i cleaned their cage and the back door was open and they sat there for ages looking out so i thought id let them out int their ball as we don't have a safe run for them yet. but i think its the next thing in the shopping list as the nice weather is coming
