lol.Great pic. Its funny when they random jump on your head George has a few times while have been laying down. When Georgie started feeling ill I opened up the cage to get the sand bath and she jumps from the top of the cage of to my head and wouldn't move. Also for the few nights I let her sleep in bed wrapped in a blanket she woke up during the and woke me up by sitting on my head. Praying she wouldn't poop ;D .

I did actually mean you, but you both have nice eyes.
You got to forgive me I have a thing about eyes. My own ones are really odd. They change colour depending on my mood and the lighting (green, blue.. even grey sometimes) Plus I have brown around the pupil. My sister used to call me snake eyes... which makes no sense.
Anyhoo. I so want a chinchilla right now. I bet you get less odd looks then when you announce you have a goo. A woman in the vets insisted on coming over to have a good look at Bu last week lol!

Fliddie! I am so jealous you get to see him in person! He is adorable, Kimberley. I would so love to get my fingers into his fur. Sigh. I'll just have to dream for now, I guess.
As to people giving weird looks about goos . . . I was at a meeting of Sunday School teachers the other night, and as an ice breaker we were to give our names and then tell one unusual fact about ourselves. So I told about having three degus, and often having them upon my person, or hiding in my shirt. No one had a clue what they are, so asked me. I said they are a rodent, and may be considered as closely resembling a rat. The looks on some of those ladies faces!!! I swear some were ready to jump up on their chairs then and there, while one loudly exclaimed, "You don't have them with you NOW, do you??!?!?" LOL! No, I don't take them out for a drive ever. Not too many came to say hello after . . . . LOL!

When I was at school.. well I say school I ended up in special needs but hey. Anyhoo, one of the teachers said that I wouldn't go back to my house and bring my rat to school.
Wrong!
Luckily most of them were ok. The ones that freaked out were told if they didn't get on with their work, Monty would sit on the desk next to them.

LOL!!!
I fell in love with a snake (surprised me too) that a boy brought to my daughter's school one day. I am sure he called it a Ruby Boa, anyhow it stays small and has this really cool coloring. It looked like a roll of three different gray/brown clays. The SHRIEKS shrilling in the hall ways are what drove me to discover the reason. It was a beautiful creature . . . but I was among the very few in thinking so. LOL!
However I must say that I think furry things are still my favorite things to love hands on. NOT including tarantulas! That still needs great and powerful persuasion for a change on my part.

I was looking around pet shops with my son a while back (it's like taking him to the zoo, it's great!) and I was aware of a shop worker behind me while I was looking at snakes.. and tortoises.. Then I made the mistake of turning around. A family were looking to buy a tarantula.. so instead of them being in boxes behind a glass locked cabinet.. they were on people's hands. I've never moved so fast in my life! Got laughed at I'm such a wimp when it comes to spiders.

Don't worry Rachel im scared of...
Snakes All spiders ;D maybe not the tiny ones Big scary barking dogs big lizards. I had to feed my mates Red Tegu (i think thats the one) and had to hold a mouse by its tail and move it around its nest. Next thing I know this great bug 3.5ft Red lizard comes running out. I thought he thought he had a beardie of something not a monster ;D
and a of others depending on the situation for example...
' Im not walking through that field look theirs a bull ' replied 'its just a cow' So its bigger than me. Walks round lol

I don't mind snakes. I find that quite odd about myself...
I agree on the dogs though. Always been wary, but with the little one, I'm especially nervous.. which is terrible as it'll make him scared too. But when I've got him walking on his reins.. and a doberman or similar is coming the other way (with no lead on) yep, I pick him up. Daft thing was, he was in more danger of being hit by a cyclist! Ah well.
I've got a slightly odd phobia of horses. They're fine in the stable, I'll pat them fine... but I don't like being in with them. Had my foot crushed once by my brother-in-law-to-be's horse. It was trying to make friends.. But yeah. Animals bigger than me make me nervous.
Oh! And lions. That was scary. Took the little one to the zoo during the summer. He loved looking at the lions... but not as much as the lion liked looking at him. Poor love, everyone came over to take pictures of the lion pacing around in front of my son.

DOGS? ?? big dogs arent scary....... in fact, small dogs are usually more likely to attack you than big dogs. P.S if u think dobermans are big, take a look at these on the link. That isnt me on the photo, i found it on the internet
