Since me and a Moderator we're just Talking about this in a Different Unrelated Post, I decided to bring this here.
I have a lone Male Degu who I temporarily separated since he was labeled as Agressive, I wanted him to get used to me so I can tell how well he'd be without another Degu.
He made it clear he missed the company of others as he would call for them at night (It was sad) He is only a juvenile and I thought he was ready to have some company, I've been looking for a new male Degu to help his loneliness, around his age.
I also planned on upgrading his cage too a bigger one with newer toys and things like that.
How would I manage to do both, should I introduce my first Degu to the cage first, then get the new Degu later once he's adjusted, Should I introduce them together first then move them
I know how introductions can be long and take some time and might make them bicker back and forth so I was curious which would be easier, I'm definitely going to do the cage introduction where I keep them away from eachother but close enough to hear, smell, ect.
Any suggestions?

Personally, I'd get them into a bonded pair before moving them into a new cage.
Degus are fiercely territorial so if you put one into the new cage and then tried to introduce a new degu you are effectively sending an intruder into the other ones space. Now, they could be ok with this, or it could backfire massively. There's no way of telling.
There may be some low level hierarchy fisticuffs in the new cage anyway as they work out whose going to be in charge, but I see no sense in adding to their issues.
You could get a big cage that could be divided down the middle, not across so they each have their own space in the new bigger cage and that may work better when the divide is eventually removed after seeing if the intros go well.
