Can Degu's chew and eat clean acorns?
I was recently shopping for special feed for my Degu's and was curious as too if they can chew and eat clean Acorns? If so is there a limit to how many they should have in a week? My rodents never tend to enjoy the chews I give them (I'm buying more very soon) so I was wondering if this would be a good temp solution!

I'm not sure if acorns are a safe food for them. I'm tagging someone who may be able to clarify. moletteuk, bouncy?

Acorns are safe in small quantities. They are high in tannins.

Only in small amounts, as Molette says. If you want something that's much safer (as in, you cannot really give them too much in regards to toxins or the like), try peanuts (unsalted, raw peanuts, that is, "natural" ones) or other nuts. They should not be given freely either, but mostly because peanuts are very rich as a food. And I've yet to see a degu that would not like them.
