Hi all, apologies if this has previously been posted - I did do a search but couldn't find anything specific.
I have the large metal Aventura cage for my 2 degus, and have done for a few years. The corners of the trays are obviously deteriorating and one tray corner has now got a couple of small holes in.
Does anyone know of any companies who make replacement trays? I don't really want to have to buy a new one as the frame is obviously fine.
Edit: I am based in the UK.

Welcome to the forum!
I've got aventura cages myself and although I've looked at replacement trays in the past, I've found them more expensive than the cage itself. You could make your own out of wood, or as I'm doing thick perspex with adhesive tiles covering so they can't see through, but I'm reusing parts of another cage to extend levels so they have more space.
Sorry I can't be of more help.

That's what I was worried about! It seems so weird they don't sell replacement trays. Maybe I will have to start looking at a full replacement.
Thanks for your reply though!

Could you do a temporary repair on the trays with the holes? Adhesive vinyl floor tiles are great for covering holes, as long as you cover the whole tray.

I've never thought of that really, it could definitely work. They are really small holes at the moment! I will have to get some and give it a go, it would certainly make cleaning out day easier!

I once made extra trays for my Explorer by using a piece of perspex, then applying 10 X 1.5cm aluminium L profile using both glue and small nuts/bolts.
