Hello lovely forum staff and members.
Hope everyone is well, its been a couple of years since I have even looked at the forum. Time passes so quickly!
What brings me here is i'm looking for someone to adopt our last remaining Degu. Chloe turned 6 years old in December and has out lived everyone. We have always dreaded the situation we are now in but its finally here and we have to face it and do the best by her. The thought of parting with her is heartbreaking i'm crying just writing this as she was born to us. She has been on her own for 2 weeks now and is showing signs of depression. She is so lost bless her. Really don't want to adopt or take on more goo's but will adopt if rehoming isnt an option as we cant see her slowly mentally declining like she is. A female 4 years plus would be ideal. I know its a long shot but!
She is a really lovely gentle girl. She hates to be handled in anyway and is very shy. Almost completely blind. She had dental work in December and other than that she has been in great health. Doesn't sound like i'm selling it well lol but it is what it is.
Thanks all x
Ooops....we live in Newcastle upon Tyne

I am so sorry to hear that she's now a lone goo.
I would love to help, but realistically I can't take on any more until I know where I'm going to be living and have moved.

Thanks very much all, and yes lovely to speak to you all again. Her appetite has increased this week so that is a little triumph and she is starting to do little excited hops when we make a big fuss of her. Lets see if anything pops up either way. Honestly, we have had a awful time loosing them all, 2 strokes and 2 of them with tumors such a sad time but we are past the grief now and can on focus on the good times. I will hopefully start catching up with you all and see what ups and downs you have all been through. And yes DC a massive hug to you all xxx
