As in title, I'm really curious about what does the sound my degu makes mean. For clarification, i only have 1 degu because he didn't even get along with his "family" before i got him. Now, back to the question, i mostly hear this sound when he's lying on my hands and hugging. Here is a link for the recordings of that sound. I believe that i should specify that he makes that sound when i move my hands so it seems like he doesn't want to be moved and wants to keep hugging. www.mediafire.com/file/x1fpd4swekjrxu6/degu1.aac/filewww.mediafire.com/file/g1aof08btuta16q/degu2.aac/fileThere is also a second sound that im curious about but i cannot really record it because it's so quiet. It kinda sound like water bubbles/bubbling and he makes it sometimes also when hugging. Any idea of what those sounds mean?

The first one: Mine make a similar sound when they're mildly annoyed, usually when one of their sisters is trying to sneak in on their food pile. Its a sort of 'hey, what do you think you're doing?'

First sounds to me like happy grooming......hey, that was a bit much with the teeth!
Second sounds like a continuation of the first, but now stop with the teeth already or get lost!

So i wasn't that far off with my guess that it means "Stop moving and keep hugging me".

Missed the last part of your post - the little warbling noises are happy, snuggle, grooming noises

So somehow he was able to not get along with his degu family and was scared of other degu and humans but when separated from them he became a smoll hugging ball of love.
