Hey!
Generally,we say the JR Farms grainless is fine, but never realised the top ingredient was pea flakes, which have natural sugars. I'd say ok, but not as the main food.
Same with the second one - apple pulp will have natural sugars too. Chins aren't as sensitive to sugars as degus, but guinea pigs are. Is there a GP version of this?

This is how they describe the ingredients "The plant life which grows on the permanent pastures of the Alpine foothills, pea flakes, horse bean flakes, carrots 5%, parsley, linseed, parsnips, oat herb, peppermint, ribwort, marigold, beetroots, fennel seed, melissa, birch leaves, raspberry leaves, dandelion, black cumin seed, spelt herb, chamomile, cucumbers, zucchini" So I think meadow plants are still the main ingredient, it just looks a bit odd because it's presumably not possible for them to specify it exactly, so you can miss that that is still the main ingredient. So that one is fine. I would say no to the other due to the apple content. I would look for something else to feed in addition to the JR Farm. The vitamin d content is a bit low in the JR Farm. Could you put together an oil seed mix for them? This might be useful for calcium content and weight gain. Have a look at our charts deguworld.proboards.com/thread/15602/vegetable-seed-nut-nutrition-charts A selection of oil seeds from the top two thirds of the oil seed chart would be beneficial.
