I personally think the reason you're having so many problems getting her to eat is because the vet has made you wait so long! If her eating was slowing and weight dropping because her teeth were restricting her, she now has another few weeks of growth on top of that! It's unlikely she's been able to grind her own teeth to control their length. I really hope the vet's delay hasn't caused any lasting problems. My fingers are crossed for you both

She 100% should have the dental treatment. In fact it would be cruel to withhold the dental treatment because she may have part of a tooth growing into her tongue or cheek or up into the roof of her mouth by now. She should have had the dental treatment weeks ago.
Dental disease is routine and treatable, it is not acceptable to leave a degu to die of dental disease.

I kept Scaredy going for years, and it was actually an internal tumour that got him in the end!

What your mother is proposing is nothing short of cruel.
If she doesn't have the procedure she will starve to death. Starving to death is an incredibly painful death and it is completely unnecessary as there is surgery she can have to try to fix the issue.

Also, i have good/bad news, so the good news are that Maja is gaining weight, she was 160g last time, now she is 172g. Bad news is that when i looked at her teeth they were misaligned, and today one of the top teeth are gone, there is no blood or anything, but im kinda glad it got out, because it seemed to be hurting her. (She was also pawing the mouth, probably to get it out, also, she jumped off the table at the vet, but the teeth were fine at that time)

Issues with the front teeth are usually secondary to issues with the back teeth. Please don't delay the dental treatment any further.

Sleeping after anaesthetic is quite normal as it takes a while to get it out of your system. As long as the vet is monitoring she's in the best place.

Ditto Savvy. Every person reacts differently to anaesthesia, and I'm sure it's the same with goos. For example, I used to wake, then be unable to sleep again for the next 36hrs. My dad, on the other hand, would wake, then basically sleep for the next 24hrs.
