Had a call from Rebecca today - there weren't enough cells of the growth from the biopsy to reach a conclusion one way or the other! Either way, we've decided to have the lump removed. The whole thing can then be sent off for analysis. Whilst it might be fine to leave it, any growth will start to impede the forward movement of his front leg, so he (and Silly, of course) will be heading back on 27th for surgery on 28th.

Not sure if I feel relief or flattened. How are you doing, Bouncy?

Yes, hope you are feeling ok about it, Bouncy.
What kind of size is the lump and can they tell what it's attached to?

I'm fine, and Spidey is the same as ever. I can't stress about something I can't control, but I'll certainly be keeping an eye on him.
The lump is about the size of my little finger from the base of my nail to the tip. It's under his chin, just in front of his front leg. Not sure if it's affecting anything.

I'll be hoping praying that it is in the skin alone and easy to separate and completely remove!

Just had a call to say Spidey is in recovery, having had his lump removed. They took both him and Silly into the theatre to keep Silly happy.
I'll know more when I collect him this evening.

Me too! The lump has gone to the lab, and he's behaving quite normally. We'll just have to see if Silly can resist pulling his stitches out when he's kipping on his back! He's got a check up on Monday.

Glad he's recovering well, Silly permitting of course.
It's always a relief when the surgery is over.

Has anyone got an image of Silly all scrubbed up for theatre? With a little mask and gloves. Or is it just me?

SO SO glad he is out and home and doing well. Monday feels like a long ways a way.
LOVE the suggestion of Silly in surgery garb! ROFL!! He's have pulled it off . . . either literally or with great pizazz.

Lol! I'm not sure I'd trust Silly to help with medical procedures, other than removing stitches! If he's dressed as a nurse it has to be a ruse as part of the PWD.

Just had a look at Spidey's wound when he was doing his "enemy below" mime - he's got a couple of really neat stitches, no visible blood, and no sign of inflammation.
On the downside, I put sulfatrim into the syringe, then metacam. He could smell the sulfatrim, so wouldn't touch it! Gotta love cc for those awkward moments!
