And mine! He really needs a cone of shame to stop him licking off the honey as soon as I apply it, though

Lol I can’t blame him. If I was covered in honey I would lick it off too

How is he doing today, Bouncy?

John asked for another email today, so I sent this! Looking better, but it's inflamed at the base of the cone, and the penis still hasn't retracted. We're going to see him again on Thursday evening!

Is Sausage on antibiotics?

No. I asked John about them last week, but he said the antibacterial properties of the honey should be sufficient. I stopped giving metacam on Saturday.

Somebody on the forum once described applying salt to a prolapsed penis, which pulled fluid out of the penis to shrink it so it would them retract. I wonder if you or John could try this or if there is a more medical way of doing this. Having said that, the penis looks really good to me considering it's been hanging out for days.
Do you think the cone is improving? is the brown stuff scab or dead flesh or difficult to tell?

Sausage spends so much cleaning, I think the cone is just raw. I just applied his honey, and he promptly licked it off. I'll ask John about the swelling. It may be he'll have another solution.

We had a follow up appointment with John last night. Still swelling, but healing nicely. I'm to keep going with treatment for another week and pop down to see him again. He doesn't seem bothered by Sausage licking off all the honey as soon as it's applied!
He doesn't think the penis will ever retract fully, and I have to wait until all wounds are healed before letting the group back together.

Sausage had another follow-up with John yesterday. He was very pleased, considering, but it's obvious he's still excessively playing with the area because it looks like he's had a Hollywood wax!
The cone itself will never heal. There's a lot of scar tissue, partly because the cone has actually split. Having said that, all wounds have healed. I can try to introduce the foursome again, but whether he can have a wheel again will depend on whether he can keep his bits clear of the running surface, because I don't want to have to deal with another open sore and infection.

The scar tissue might be a problem since it stiffens the area up, and the cone needs to flex enough to allow the penis to go in or out. How has Sausage been for now? I'm wondering if it might be possible to apply some kind of a lotion or something similar that softens the scar tissue, but at the same time it might entice him to pick at it even more...

Sausage doesn't have a cone any more, so it's kinda irrelevant. I just have to keep an eye out for any infection.

I'm pleased he's healed up well, but sorry it still leaves you with a headache and some unknowns regarding intros and the wheel.

So am I. He's back to his cheeky self, weight fully regained. He and Spud are very content as things are. Every time Sneaky comes near, he immediately starts a FBOD (tried several times), so I'm just going to leave it.

I think if Sausage and Spud are content together that's all that matters.

They are such a lovely pair!! I'm so thankful and glad to hear that Sausage has been improving and doing better! He must look kind of . . . odd . . . without a cone . . . but the really important thing is that he is doing so much better again. Spud is such a sweetheart! I do wish Sneaky would change his ways though. Too late for a name change, and I'm sure it wouldn't help anyway.
