Sorry, I forgot to mention that I put up a barrier last night! Just on the side of the cage, so they shouldn't be able to see the rescues at all.

So I left Prongs in the top, had Moony and Pads in the bottom for 2.5 hours. I just opened up the barrier, Prongs fluffed up as soon as her saw Moony. Pads is now with Prongs in the top.
I'm gonna see if I can try resetting them with nice long play time tonight. But who knows. The above reaction was not promising.

How many full levels have they got?

Three full levels, one half. Two connected cages of 25in x 36in I believe.

What are their approximate ages now?
So . . . 3(25 X 36) plus the area of say 12.5 X 18? By the way, I suck as a mathematician, so please pardon me if that "equation" makes no sense at all. LOL

It looks like you should have 2925ish square inches in surface area . . . which should be fine for these three.
Are they under the age of 18 months . . . I may even say under the age of 2 years, since some have extended young adult aggressions.

They should actually be just around 2.5 years old now...
Good to have that confirmed! I'm glad I should have enough space!
So now I'm completely second guessing everything with them. I put them back together about 2 hours ago. They slept together until 15 minutes ago. They're now at the move around a space tied at the hip, sort of too aggressive grooming maneuvers. Also, the shove my body side ways close to you, move forward towards you, but then back away, sort of like the stop-go motion squirrels do? Sorry I'm not describing this well!
I'd normally let them sort this out, but I dont know what to think in the context that they have FBOD today. They slept nicely together last night though.

I guess after 15 years of helping my kids learn math, I've finally picked a few things up! SIGH! That is until my husband starts talking about budgets and investments and retirement savings and taxes . . . my eyes roll up in my head!! UGH!
It does sound like dominance fighting, which would tell me that something has changed in the balance of power . . . enough for there to be trouble. They do need to settle it, but I also completely understand your discomfort over just leaving them together after the FBOD events you have seen.
I don't know what to suggest. If you can make the two separate sides we talked about earlier, it might help, but it might not. If they are determined to fight, they will do what they can to bite through the separation. It is most helpful to have a double wall, so to speak, that gives an air gap that in effect offers insulation from each others teeth. Do you have a chew safe travel cage that you could use, if you feel you must?

Haha, good for you DC! Oh man, I have zero interest in listening to anything having to do with finances/taxes!
Yeah, it feels very much like dominance issues. And I saw something like this (very small scale, over in a few hours) last time Moony had gained weight. Not sure what would cause the weight change, but maybe the seasons? I'll have to look through my notes.
I can work on that. I do have a chew proof travel cage, but I would honestly feel better at this point separating the bottom CN from the top CN. I know it wouldn't be ideal for the long term, since they wouldn't be side by side, but it would be a berh safe short term solution.
Right now I'm leaning towards letting them be, and just staying up really late just in case. While the have had several FBOD pver the past two days, the only injury was a small cheek cut. And I know they have to figure this out if they are going to live together. Ive seen them sleeping together and grooming each other, so hopefully this will pass.

We've progressed to the 'two drunk white guys fighting' stage. Faces close, arms locked, shoving.

Pads has walked between the two combatants so many times. He just does not care. He's current chewing on the box that they're fighting in.

It's sounding like a challenge to be alpha, so you may just have to grin and bear it whilst they sort themselves out.
Guys like you are my biggest headache! I'm not a financial advisor but, as a chartered accountant, all friends call when they have any financial query, expecting me to just know the answer instantly! At one point, I was doing tax returns for four people, set up bookkeeping spreadsheets for their businesses too, and not a penny charged!

Yeah, unfortunately kind of figured that. Just hoping no one gets hurt. Oh jeez, that's ridiculous! And very nice of you, honestly! I've been doing my own taxes since I was 16, so at least I'm capable of that One of my previous housemates was 25, had never done her taxes, still had her dad do them, even though he doesnt claim her as a dependent.

Um. This may be coincidence, but as soon as I started Cutthroat Kitchen on my TV--silence from the goos! It's been fours hours, and at least 2.5 of those have been spent with Moony and Prongs cuddled together! I'm afraid to turn the tv off...

I have no idea, but with that show always possible! They might think I'll get ideas if they keep it up! This show has been on non stop for 5.5 hours now. I've been through 11 episodes. Of a show I dont particularly care for. Send help! But I've actually seen them grooming each other again Theres been a bit of humping, but grooming interspersed. And they're actually making noises at each other. I know its early, but I needed this break, for however long it lasts!

Making noises at each other? I hope it's sweet warbling, rather than squeaks through gritted teeth.......

Some good noises, a few "ouch, you're grooming too hard!" But at least that means they're grooming each other!

I totally understand! When I went through an eight month combat phase between two of our boys, any day that had LESS combat in it was a better day. The relief when they are at peace is significant!
Are you watching it on a TV or on your computer? If you have both . . . maybe you can watch what you like on the computer and plug in some headphones, while you keep the other playing on the TV to keep the boys in line.
