I’m going on a walk today and was wondering what plants are safe to forage for the degus in the uk thanks

You will certainly find some grass, although they can be a bit fussy about different species of grass, but you can give it a try. You may also be able to find some dandelion and maybe some ribwort plantain, possibly some smooth sow thistle. The problem at this time of year is finding fresh growth and being able to identify it without flowers. You do need to be sure of the identification. You can post some photos of what you find and I will try to help but it's not always easy.
Other safe and abundant things are chickweed, ground elder, cleavers, hairy/ wavy bittercress, willowherbs, garlic mustard, meadowsweet, common hogweed, cow parsley (be careful of ID), docks and sorrel (smaller amounts only of new leaves).
